The City of Greater Bendigo invites you to: Achieving respect and gender equality in Greater Bendigo' a forum and workshop looking at respect and gender equality at a State and Local context. Local Government plays an important role in contributing to violence prevention in the community. This includes working with key stakeholders to promote community safety and healthy living. Key themes that will be explored include: -preventing violence against women in the home and workplace; -elder abuse; and -community safety in the street. This allows for information sharing and knowledge building. Some key questions that will be explored include: What are the key issues and opportunities in relation to violence prevention for Greater Bendigo? What are some key actions that could be undertaken to prevent violence in Greater Bendigo? Who can the City of Greater Bendigo partner with to achieve these actions?
