Be the Change
The idea began as a conversation between a Councillor and a high school student about how to get youth more involved in the local community. Now the Be the Change Exhibition is a reality. The main goals of the exhibition are: - To bring together and empower people from all sectors of the community regardless of age and occupation for a cause they are passionate about, - To feature side-by-side works from both amateurs and professionals alike, - To display in a visual and audio medium the many and varied aspirations of various community members and the changes they would like to see in their world, and - To physically empower participants to (like the quote from Mahatma Ghandi) be the change they want to see in the world. Whether it be something as large scale as ending global poverty or something as simple as a child smiling, everyone has something to contribute
