Eaglehawk Cultural & Heritage Precinct OPEN DAY Saturday 30 April 10am - 2pm Explore the historic buildings at the heart of Eaglehawk,and Enjoy Arts and Culture activities Birds of A Feather Artists Market 9-3 Located in Sailors Gully Rd, this new artists market features art and craft stalls, food and bands Eaglehawk Library 10 -12 Poke your nose into this cosy little public library situated inside the historic Mechanics Institute building. Its one of our best kept secrets! Eaglehawk Town Hall Open House 10-2 Explore the grand Council Chambers of the Town Hall, featuring the original furniture and official portraits. Historical talks will be given by Eaglehawk Heritage Society. Star Community Cinema Open House 10-2 Take a peek at the fabulous Town Hall setting and comfy couches of the Star Community Cinema and find out more about this amazing cinema Kids Art Activity 10 -2 Come on down and join in a free, fun and family-friendly paper sculpture activity! The action will take place out front of the Eaglehawk Town Hall. This is provided through the City of Greater Bendigos Childrens Art Program. More info: Maree Tonkin ph: 5434 6464 Eaglehawk Old Courthouse 10-2 Come and see this beautiful old building with its original timber furnishings and the amazing historical collection housed inside. A vast range of local history books are also on sale. Entry fee of $2 applies and covers Courthouse and Lockup. Old Log Lock-Up 10-2 Check out this important historic building with its colourful history! Free Short Film screenings 10- 2 Pop into the historic Mechanics Institute building and watch some short films created by the talented members of Bendigo Amateur Movie Makers (BAMM). Billiard Room Open House 10-2 The historic Billiard Room has been the home of the Eaglehawk Snooker and Billiard Club for more than 100 years. The room has recently been restored, returning it to its stunning former glory. Information about the Club will also be available. Star Community Cinema screening 2pm If youve never experienced the Star, make this the day you do it! Join us for a special matinee screening of the warm, wise, and witty film Barney's Version Regular ticket price Community Art Exhibition 10 - 2 Located inside the Eaglehawk Town Hall at the front right of the building. Local artists from Our Place & Our Shed feature in this exhibition. Our House (Opposite the log Lock Up) 9 - 2 Fair Trade Store. This new store sells a range of certified fair trade goods including clothes, shoes, handbags and more. Proceeds from fair trade goods go back to the primary producers. At Our House, people can also enjoy sitting in the reading room, in the beautiful courtyard or the dining room and listen to the music, chat or wander into the chapel for some quiet time to reflect.
