NEXT ON NOW - YOUNG ARTISTS PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM AND ART BLAST

INFORMATION SESSION WEDNESDAY 15 JUNE, 5.00PM OLD FIRE STATION, VIEW STREET, BENDIGO Next On Now is an exciting arts program for young artists in Bendigo. If you are between the ages of 17-22 and interested in contemporary art forms in visual, musical, performance, multi-media or writing, Next On Now is a great way of developing your art practice and profession. Coordinated by nationally renowned and locally based arts organisation Punctum, Next On Now invites you to be part of a vibrant team of young artists who will create and show new work. Jude Anderson, Punctum's Artistic Director says, 'Bendigo has so many young and talented artists. Each year at BSSC alone there are over 300 arts graduates who are setting their sights on a profession in arts. Next On Now is about opening doors to professional opportunities in contemporary arts right here in Bendigo. It's a way of supporting and celebrating the huge potential that exists here and bringing it to the heart of the city.' Next On Now will assist you in developing your art practice by providing professional and technical resources, and guidance as a way of sparking your career as an artist. There are also workshops on how to write about, fund, market and present your art. Next On Now will culminate in weekend long 'Art Blast' in February 2012. If you'd like to find how you could be a part of Next On Now there's an information session on Wednesday 15 June at 5pm at the Old Fire Station on View Street. At this session, you will also be able to take part in a free workshop, conducted by Punctum's Artistic Director and Associate Producer, on how to write an artist proposal.
