Faithless - The dance never ends

Faithless are a British electronica band, consisting of maxi jazz, sister bliss and Rollo. The band has recorded 6 albums, and has sold more than 15 million records worldwide. The first song on the track is “Not going home” it starts out with a bouncy techno tune which immediately gets you into the beat. The singer then comes in and starts to sing in a kind of slow pace talking fashion. While the singer is doing this, the music suddenly goes into a high pitched sort of screech, which doesn’t feel too good on the ears, and makes you lose track of the beat.

Roughly half way through the song the singers voice is tweaked far too much, it’s been tweaked into a very low pitched voice and suddenly into a chipmunk voice, it sounded like there was something wrong with my computer. “Crazy Bal’heads” is a song worth a mention, the song kicks off with a nice slow tune, and like with “Not going home” You immediately get taken into the beat, the vocals work very well with the pace and tune of the music, and it makes for a nice track, however while this all works well, the song doesn’t seem to make much sense, and gets quite repetitive. Judging from the amount of albums sold, a lot of people probably disagree with some of my points, so unless you’re into this kind of music, I’d recommend Faithless in small doses.
