Isaac De Heer - Wordshapes

Melbourne singer-songwriter Isaac De Heer presents an interesting follow up to his debut album.

‘Wordshapes’ is an album that could be played outside on a summer’s night or on a wintery evening by the fire.

It is quite versatile and Isaac provides a gentle, warming soundtrack for any occasion.

Track three ‘Wordshapes’ starts off with a simple vocal, then a bouncy, fun brass section is introduced.

Isaac De Heer has quite a versatile voice which can be seen in ‘Line Wire’. As he starts off with a deep, low vocal and moves into a higher vocal in the chorus.

I think this is an album that would never get old, you would never get tired of the sweet, mature songs on this album.

It’s simple, laidback and honest.

The appearance of a harmonica on ‘New Feet Straight’ and banjo on ‘Weary Bones’ are quite nice additions to the instrumentation.
