Perth quartet rockers Jebediah have just released their new album Kosciuszko after a 5 year break since lead singer Kevin Mitchell started his solo career. Kosciuszko has gone back to basics with the working of it being a little more “black & white”, and forgetting the self imposed rule book that was used to produce previous albums.
From the jam sessions in the lead up to the production, we hear towering singles such as She’s Like A Comet ( A song that only took 15 minutes to write) and Control that have seen Australians all over dancing to the feel good tracks. Under Your Bed & Lost My Nerve are delivered in a similar vein with frantic riffs, distorted vocals which are gritty and boisterous, while To Your Door has a more down tempo.
Having come back since the 5 year stint, they have produced a killer album which is one of their biggest achievements and is a pleasure to listen to. With catchy vocals, noodly lead guitar, slinky bass and indie drums, it is a collection of songs that is sure to get anyone’s foot tapping along with it all.
