‘Death Closes All’ is the first single from Melbourne band the Red Aces.
A letter enclosed with the CD suggests that the passing of the brother’s Auntie Val is the inspiration behind the single, with lyrics from the modified extracts Alfred Lord Tennyson’s portrayal of Ulysses.
‘Death Closes All’ combines the heartfelt lyrics with a rock sensibility.
The disc also has two other songs, with show variety in the repertoire of the Red Aces.
‘Jazz Closes All’ is a jazz song – as the title suggests.
‘Nintendo Closes All’ is an amusing track with different sound samplings from Nintendo games.
