20 years ago, Melbourne band The Grown Ups split before they had ever recorded any albums.
They had recorded some singles that featured on independent charts but The light filled corner is their first full-length album.
Sadly the Grown Ups have created an album that was old fifteen years ago. There is some interesting music in parts but these bits are ruined by the bands obsession with filling each song with mind-numbingly repetitive lyrics.
I suspect that even fans of the band will find this album frustrating as hit singles have been ‘re-imagined’ and buried amongst a mix of mostly new music.
