The Vagrants - Stand Up
‘Australian rock’ perfectly describes Melbourne band The Vagrants.
Their third album ‘Stand Up’ provides listeners with seven tracks of rock n roll, plus three additional live tracks recorded at Melbourne’s HiFi Bar in 2009.
I was pleased with the grit and rasp within lead vocalist Renate Ludwig’s vocals, she survived the typical female rock singer problem of sounding generic, bland and try hard.
‘I see Angles’ fits the track listing well, as we all know every rock album has a ballad.
The live tracks place an idea that the band is a passionate, playful and energetic live band.
