Innovative Health Services For Homeless Youth (IHSHY)
Service for young people aged 12-24 experiencing homelessness, or who are at risk of becoming homeless. The program involves supporting young people to access other health services, to link in with appropriate support networks, and to provide a safe place to explore their current situation and needs without judgment. Young people can access appointments on Mondays and Wednesdays by calling BCHS
IHSHY workers can:
- provide sexual and general health services
- advocate on the young person’s behalf
- assist with connecting the young person to other services
- provide secondary consultation
- provide a presence in services who work particularly with young people at risk

- Family Counselling
Services are free to children, young people and health care card holders. Counselling fees are set at $50 for waged clients; fees are negotiable with the counsellor.
Family Services
- In-home support to parents with parenting issues.
- Individual support to parents, children and young people experiencing family problems
- Mediation to assist family members to communicate their needs to one another in a safe environment
- Advocacy to assist family members in resolving issues
- Referrals to other services as required Group work opportunities
- Parent education groups including communication, stress management, managing difficult behaviours and relationship issues
- Counselling, crisis, short term or long term support for parents, children or families.
The aim of Child FIRST is to support the safety and health of children, young people and their families.
Family Dispute Resolution & Mediation For those seeking assistance with planning future arrangements for children. What is a family dispute resolution? Family Dispute Resolution is a process which helps parties to:
- Identify issues
- Develop options
- Consider alternatives
- Endeavour to reach agreement

Womens Health Loddon Mallee is a Health Promotion Service offering Health Information, Education and Advocacy for Women in the Loddon Mallee region. Free services for Women aged 15 years and over is available.
