"Smelly Man" A Poem by Ella Toll

Upon a bus once hopped a man,

smelling freshly of a garbage can.

So I crossed my toes, to hope and pray,

Oh pretty please sit a mile away!

And just my luck, guess where he sat?

Next door to me he plopped his fat.

Said, “hey luv, move over, I need more space

I packed me diapers, just in case”.

And as time went on, things got badder,

He developed a mildy convulsive bladder.

He coughed and buzzed and slurbered and farted,

Until out his mouth a furball darted.

So brown and slimey was the blob,

As it plummeted over the seated mob.

Then no longer was I the one to pity

Rather the sleeping girl so young and pretty.

The resting dearie on the isle seat

Was greeted by the little treat.

Her eyes flew open and she looked around,

checking who had seen the sticky mound.

Then to my surprise she opened wide

And popped the whole damn thing inside.
