Youth Councillor Abby Patten
Abby Patten is a 17-year-old living and studying in Bendigo. 2023 will be her third year on the Youth Council, having spent last year as a working group Chair, she is excited for what 2023 will offer her.
This year she will be in year 11 at Bendigo Senior Secondary College, and one day hopes to be studying at the University of Melbourne to achieve her dream career – to be an orthopaedic surgeon.
She is extremely passionate about advocating for youth issues. She hopes to provide perspective of what it is like to be a young person in Greater Bendigo – especially a young female – so that she can help The City of Greater Bendigo remain a safe and inclusive space for youth.
Abby is inspired by her friends, family and loved ones. She can see the effort and dedication her friends and peers put into achieving their goals, something she finds admirable.
