2026 kicks off 18-year-old Alyssa's third year as a Greater Bendigo Youth Councilor. After a first year full of growth, friendship and enlightenment, Alyssa felt empowered to step up to the role of Deputy Youth Mayor during her second year, bringing with her a hope to encourage and uplift others the way her fellow Youth Councilors have for her. 

Alyssa likes to spend her time training and competing with the Eaglehawk Athletics Club and hopes all young people are granted the opportunity to experience a supportive environment such as the one she found on the track.  

Wishing for a world where people are open and comfortable sharing feelings, challenges, and imperfections, Alyssa is grateful for every chance to create a positive impact on the world around her.
