Youth Councillor Amelia Westbrook 

(Pronouns: She/Her)

Amelia Westbrook is 16 years old and is in year 10 Girton Grammar School in Greater Bendigo. This is her Second year on the City of Greater Bendigo Youth Council. In 2024 Amelia was the chair the Advocacy Working Group. This was an incredible opportunity for Amelia and she gained invaluable experience from leading this group to advocate for a more sensory inclusive greater Bendigo

Amelia is passionate about disability advocacy. She hopes to advocate for and promote the views of all young people. She wants to assist in breaking down barriers so that our community is an inclusive and welcoming place for everyone. 

Amelia is active in our community, regularly volunteering for not for profit organisations and Amelia is also loves participating in local performing arts productions.

Amelia aspires to take on a role in government or community organisation when she finishes her studies.
