Youth Councillor Annie Dalton

(Pronouns: She/Her)

Annie Dalton first heard about the Bendigo Youth Council through the local council’s magazine. With the encouragement of her family she applied, and is looking forward to her first term on the BYC. 

Annie is a member of the Student Representative Council at her state school here in Bendigo. As a year 10, she is currently studying VCE Legal Studies as well as other course work. She is discovering a strong interest in politics and wants to build knowledge and experience in that area. 

In her free time, she likes to get lost in the pages of a book, playing on her local netball team, working at the local bakery and shopping. Once in a while she dreams about travelling, specifically in Italy. 

She hopes that young people can grow up in a world where there is no shame in advocating for yourself. As a deaf person she wishes for everyone to have this experience, as she has learned from her extensive support system. 

Annie hopes succeed in impacting those around her in a positive way.
