Annie Dalton
Youth Councillor Annie Dalton
(Pronouns: She/Her)
Annie Dalton first learned about the Greater Bendigo Youth Council through the local council magazine. With the encouragement of her family, she applied and is excited to be undertaking her second term on the BYC.
Annie is currently in Year 11 at a state school in Bendigo, where she is studying VCE Legal Studies alongside her other subjects. She has developed a strong interest in politics, law, and community leadership, and is eager to continue building her knowledge and experience through her involvement with the Youth Council.
In her free time, Annie enjoys going to the gym, playing and watching sports, and getting lost in a good book. She also works at a local bakery, enjoys shopping, and often dreams about future travel around Europe.
Annie hopes for a future where young people feel confident and supported in advocating for themselves. As a deaf person, this belief is shaped by her own lived experience and the strength of her support network. She has a strong interest in the criminal justice system and hopes to pursue a future where she can assist and advocate for others, using her voice to support people who may otherwise go unheard. Through her role at the Greater Bendigo Youth Council, Annie hopes to help create positive, inclusive change in her community.
