Youth Councillor Anya Singh

Anya Singh is a new young, passionate youth councillor living in the City of Greater Bendigo. She is 14 years old and comes from an Indian - Australian background. Both Anya’s parents were raised in India and moved to Australia, where Anya was born and brought up her whole life. She is the oldest sister, which has given her a sense of care and responsibility. 

Anya is also a member of the Indian Association of Bendigo, where she performs and enjoys hosting events such as Diwali or Indias Independence Day. She is passionate about responsibility and leadership, as well as being very confident and outspoken. Anya has been playing netball for the last 5 years and has a recent passion for dance.

Anya is beyond excited to be a part of the Bendigo Youth Council, and happy to be a part of the team to help make Bendigo a better place.
