Youth Councillor Ella Filsell

(Pronouns: She/Her)

Ella is a proud 21-year-old Bendigo local, born and raised on Djarra country. This is her first year on Youth Council but has been volunteering with YO Bendigo since 2020 in the YO Media team. She also completed a traineeship with YO Bendigo in 2023 and 2024, where she gained a Certificate III in Business Administration. 

Ella now works part time and runs a social media management business called Lavender Design. Ella aims to help small businesses in Greater Bendigo utilise the marketing potential of social media and empower them to make changes.

She is has a passion for the inclusion and expansion of youth recreational activities, the arts and creative industries, supporting people with a low socioeconomic background, and LGBTIQA+ rights. It is because of all these passions that Ella decided to join Youth Council now that she is eligible.

Ella likes to spend her free time reading, crocheting, or hanging out with her housemates.
