Youth Councillor Mollie Hartje

A new face to Youth Council, Mollie Hartje has long been an active member of their community and is looking forwards to continuing to make a positive impact and give voice to the youth of Greater Bendigo.

Hartje is a published author and exhibited artist studying a Bachelor of Arts, Creative Writing, at RMIT University. They are a long-time volunteer member of Rookie Artists Inc. (@rookie.ari on Instagram) and are a passionate participant in the creative arts scene in Bendigo.

Coming from a queer and neurodiverse household, Hartje has long been a strong advocate for their communities and for diversity, equity, and inclusion as a whole. Advocating for human rights and climate action since childhood, Hartje is an incredibly passionate and open-minded person who is always willing to lend their time to and aid those in need.

Hartje likes to spend their free time reading, writing, making jewellery and textile art, and enjoying the company of their friends.
