There’s lots in store for 2027 in terms of movies- we’ve got a whopping 80 new movies coming out next year. From sequels to childhood shows turned movie, 2027 has a lot going on for us.

- Avengers: Secret Wars
Release Date: December 17, 2027
The capstone of Marvel Studios' Multiverse Saga. Promised to feature massive multiversal crossover events and legacy Marvel character appearances, this is primed to be the biggest theatrical release of the year.
2. The Legend of Zelda (Live-Action)
Release Date: April/May 2027
Directed by Wes Ball (Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes) and co-produced by Nintendo and Sony, this long-rumored live-action adaptation brings Link and Hyrule to the big screen for the first time.
3. Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse
Release Date: June 18, 2027
The highly anticipated final chapter of Miles Morales’ groundbreaking animated trilogy. Following Into the Spider-Verse and Across the Spider-Verse, expectations are sky-high for its animation innovation and emotional resolution.
4. Frozen 3
Release Date: November 24, 2027
Both Frozen and Frozen II surpassed $1 billion at the box office. Disney's flagship animated franchise returns to continue the story of Anna and Elsa.
5. Star Wars: Starfighter
Release Date: May 28, 2027
Directed by Shawn Levy and starring Ryan Gosling, this standalone Star Wars adventure arrives right around the 50th anniversary of the franchise.
6. Shrek 5
Release Date: June 30, 2027
Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy, and Cameron Diaz reunite for the first main-line Shrek feature in over 15 years, capitalising on massive nostalgic demand.
7. The Batman: Part II
Release Date: 2027
Matt Reeves and Robert Pattinson return to expand their dark, standalone Gotham universe following the critical and commercial success of 2022's The Batman.
8. Man of Tomorrow
Release Date: July 7, 2027
Written and directed by James Gunn, this serves as the direct follow-up in the newly rebooted DC Universe, featuring David Corenswet's Superman alongside Lex Luthor.
9. The Chronicles of Narnia: The Magician's Nephew
Release Date: April 2, 2027
Greta Gerwig's adaptation of C.S. Lewis's origin story for Narnia leads Netflix's high-profile theatrical and streaming push for the classic fantasy series.
10. Sonic the Hedgehog 4
Release Date: March 19, 2027
The Sonic film franchise has proven to be a powerhouse at the box office, with the fourth entry expanding further into the video game lore.
