Youth Councillors provide strong, positive leadership and are instigators of positive change, acting as role models and leaders within the community. Importantly they also act as a youth voice within the Greater Bendigo local government.
Youth Councillors are given many opportunities to improve their leadership skills, develop a greater understanding of their community, and to work together on great projects which encourage youth participation.
Greater Bendigo Youth Council consists of up to 18 motivated young people aged between 14 – 22 who live, work or study in the Greater Bendigo area, and strives to represent the community demographic.
