Jam Sandwich: Youth Stage Takeover

By Chelsea Hill, 03 December, 2025

Last Friday, Eaglehawk came alive with music, energy, and incredible talent as the Jam Sandwich Youth Stage Takeover took center stage at the Eaglehawk Children’s Festival. For the final part of the festival. the YO Events team took over the stage from 6.30pm - 7.30pm after a fantastic line up of other local musicians and performers.
The Jam Sandwich Youth Stage Takeover is designed to give young people the chance to gain confidence, meet other performers, and showcase their skills in a professional setting. With a welcoming stage crew, top-notch sound setup, and plenty of encouragement from the crowd, participants had everything they needed to shine.
Our first Jam Sandwich performer was Hannah Lacey - a talented 21 year old vocalist who gave an amazing performance with her cover of Noah Cyrus's 'July'. This was Hannah's first big performance ever and she killed it!
Next we had a series of original and cover songs from local 2-piece band Circle K - with another stellar performance!
Closing out the evening, the crowd was treated to an electrifying set from Apples, the 2025 BendiGLOW Battle of the Bands runners-up, proving why they’re one of Bendigo’s most exciting emerging acts.
A huge thank you to everyone who came along, supported the performers, and helped make this event such a success. Shout-out to the Eaglehawk Childrens Festival Committee who put together the festival and to Ari - who helped out with the stage! And to the incredible young musicians who stepped up—you rocked it!
