YMCA Victoria Youth Parliament

YMCA Victoria Youth Parliament is a program designed to give young Victorians between the ages of 16 - 25 a chance to be heard at the highest levels of State Government, on a wide range of issues relevant to young people's lives.

Twenty teams of six participants receive training in public speaking and leadership at residential camps, as they research issues that they’re passionate about. From this research they develop a Bill, which they debate in Victorian Parliament over three days each July.

The Youth Council is now looking to build a team of young people aged 16 - 25 to represent Greater Bendigo.  All six young people need to be between the ages of 16 and 25 and available for:

WHEN:

Friday 22nd May – Sunday 24th May 2020 (Compulsory Training Weekend)

Sunday 26th June– Friday 3rd July 2020 (2020 Youth Parliament)

Sitting Days - 29th and 30th of June, and 1st of July 2020 (Parliament House, Spring St, Melbourne)
