Rafferty Brasier

Youth Councillor Rafferty Brasier

Hi, my name is Rafferty Brasier, and I’m turning 16 this year. I live in Bendigo, and this is my first year serving on the youth council. I’m really excited about the opportunity to be involved in my community and have a voice in shaping the future, especially on issues that I’m passionate about. One of my biggest interests is the environment. I care deeply about sustainability, conservation, and the steps we can take to protect our planet for future generations. I believe that young people have a crucial role to play in environmental advocacy and decision-making, and I want to contribute in any way I can. Outside of the youth council, I’m a huge sports fan. I love playing and watching basketball, football, cricket, and golf. Sports have taught me valuable lessons about teamwork, discipline, and perseverance—qualities that I bring into all aspects of my life. In the future, I hope to work in the health field. My career interests often shift, but I frequently lean toward becoming a physiotherapist. Helping people recover from injuries and improve their well-being is something I find really rewarding.
