Thinking about working in hospitality, retail, or anywhere food is prepared or served? This is your first step. Whether you are aiming for your first job or looking to boost your resume, this entry-level food safety course gives you the essential skills to work confidently and safely with food in Victoria.

You'll learn what employers expect when it comes to food hygiene and safety—and why it matters, from understanding how to keep yourself and your workspace clean, to spotting food safety risks and knowing what to do about them.

What You’ll Learn:

  • Personal hygiene practices that keep food safe.

  • How to identify and control common food hazards like cross-contamination.

  • Following correct procedures in real workplace scenarios.

  • Your legal responsibilities when working with food.
