RSA Certificate (SITHFAB021) training - 6th and 7th July

By Katie Mansfield, 13 February, 2026

This accredited training gives you the skills and knowledge to provide safe and responsible serving of alcohol, and certification to work in a licensed premises that sells alcohol.

This course runs over 2 days (both the 6th and 7th of July, 1pm - 3pm). You must attend both sessions to receive your certificate.

What you need to know:

  • This is an accredited course, which means it meets national training standards and your certificate is officially recognised across Australia.
  • To receive your Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification, you must attend both in‑person sessions and fully complete the online learning module to receive an official RSA certificate that you can add to your resume.
  • The sessions will be delivered in 2 x 3-hour sessions. You must attend both sessions to finish the training.
  • The training is for young people aged 16-25, providing them with affordable training to support future employment.

What you'll learn:

  • About liquor laws
  • How to sell, serve, and supply alcohol responsibly
  • When and how to refuse service to people who are intoxicated
  • About your rights and legal responsibilities as a worker regarding refusing service and

IMPORTANT: Participants must complete the following documents linked below and send them to [email protected] BEFORE attending the first session, or you will not be able to attend or receive certification.

  • Student Enrolment Form (NOTE: you will require your USI number to complete this form, if you don’t have one yet, visit https://www.usi.gov.au to create or find yours.)

If you are under the age of 18 years, you can complete the RSA training course, but you have to wait until you are 18 to work in licensed premises to use your RSA qualification.
In Victoria, an RSA certificate lasts for 3 years, and a free refresher course can be completed through Liquor Control Victoria to remain compliant.

Through the Australian Government Department of Social Services SARC Grant, we can cover the full cost of tickets for young people who meet the eligibility criteria of being aged 12-18 years. To receive the discount code related to this waiver, simply complete the referral form linked "here".

The YO Level & Overcome program, events and activities is funded by the Australian Government Department of Social Services.
