Looking for something cool to do this winter? YO Events are holding their first ever Winter Ball with live music, pizza and activities! The dress code is Winter Glam - think formal wear with cool-tones, faux furs, sparkles, jewels, metallics, velvet and glitter. You'll be met by paparazzi on our red-carpet entrance and there will be prizes for best dressed!

• A fully supervised and safe event with security 
• Staff have both first-aid and mental health first aid training
• The main entryway has stairs but we will have a separate side entrance if stairs don't work for you! (Let us know when you fill out your ticket!)
• A quiet chill out zone with sensory toys and low key card games if the music is too loud 
• Free ear buds for anyone who needs them 
• Non-gendered toilets 
• No pass-outs to keep everyone safe 
• Entirely alcohol, drug, smoke and vape free

Outside of joining us as a guest on the night, there are other ways to get involved in the event. 

Join the YO Events team: The Winter Ball is presented by the YO Events team, a group of young passionate volunteers who plan and deliver for youth, by youth events. The team contribute to the promotional material, creating decorations, planning activities, facilitating activities, volunteering at the event and so much more! Be our paparrazi: Are you aged 12 - 25 with a passion for and experience in photography? We're looking for photographers who like to engage a crowd, have fun and get glamorous shots of event attendees. You must have your own camera and have a Working with Childrens Check. No editing needed - simply send us the raw images after the event. This is a paid role. Simply email [email protected] for more information!

Be our DJ: We're looking for 12 - 25 years old with a passion for and experience in DJing to entertain the crowd and bring the vibes to the dancefloor. We need a DJ to do 2 sets (15 & 20 minutes). You must have your own equipment and have a Working with Childrens Check. This is a paid role. Simply email [email protected] for more information!

Be part of creating the decorations: Local creative and YO Events team member Bee is holding a series of Crafternoon sessions to show people the behind the scenes of making event props and decorations! Be part of painting, building and creating the photobooth, table centres, wall decorations and more that will be part of a real event. Tickets out soon - email [email protected] to sign up. 

 

This event is funded through the Victorian Government's Amplify Program and delivered by YO Bendigo, the City of Greater Bendigo's Youth Development team. This event is entirely free and only for young people aged 12 - 25.
