Meet the YO Media team

The YO Media team describe themselves as fun, creative and a little bit crazy. We come together once a week to work on the blog and magazine. but also for snacks and good company! 

The team is often changing and at one time, there is usually around 7-10 of us. We're all aged between 12-25, coming from different backgrounds with different interests and skills.

Some of the team members you might see include: 

Chelsea (YO Staff member): Chelsea is the YO Bendigo staff member who helps us with funding, printing and logistics. She likes scary movies, good music and is unexpectedly good at rollerskating ✨

Lily (YO Staff member): Lily is staff at YO Bendigo and is helping while Chelsea is away. She likes reading, building lego and playing video games 🎮

Connor (Editor): Connor is the magazine and blog's editor. He has been writing for the magazine since 2018, and is studying to be a teacher. 👨‍🏫

Sara (Graphic Designer): Sara is the magazine's graphic designer, an artist, photographer and writer. Her interests includes bugs, fishing and bargain hunting. 🐛

Izzy: Izzy is a photographer for the magazine. She enjoys videogames. 📷

Celeste: Celeste is an artist for the magazine. She eats popcorn by the fistful. 🍿

Rui: Rui is a photographer for the magazine. They love videogames, music and food. 🎶

Hannah: Hannah is an artist for the magazine. She has weird thumbs. 🎆

Georgia: Georgia is an artist and writer for the magazine. She has been a part of our team for two years. 🎀

Crow: Crow is an artist and writer for the magazine. They like clowns and comes from a planet in the Andromeda galaxy. 🎠

Mak: Mak is a writer for the magazine. They really enjoy Winnie the Pooh and the colour blue. 😎

The City of Greater Bendigo has aimed to provide, through the creation of YO Bendigo, opportunities for young people. This site is about helping young people to feel empowered and engaged, through helping to celebrate their achievements, through access to accurate information and through being connected to the Greater Bendigo community.

We would like to especially acknowledge all of the young people who have contributed so much to the development of YO Bendigo. Your flair, passion and ideas have been so valuable in making this site a useful tool for young people across our community.
